When nerdy classmate Bernie pushes them too far, three high school students dispense their own justice. Matt, Steve, and B. J. use the mock trial being held in their English class and become judge, prosecutor, and bailiff - literally. But when they follow their own rules, introduce new evidence, and force the jury to take their side, things start to get out of hand.
What will it take to bring order back to this classroom?
Steve makes a dramatic point to the members of the jury.
One Count First Degree Comedy was originally produced by Theatre Unlimited on April 30 and May 1, 1999 in the Bangsberg Black Box Theater at Bemidji State University in Bemidji, Minnesota.
Steve argues his case before a sympathetic Judge Matt and a perplexed Catherine.
Steve accuses Andrea of being an accomplice.
